Off-Site Activities

The International Camporee provides complimentary activities in the Gillette Community promoting educational, recreational and missional experiences.

There are more than 30 parks located throughout Gillette that provide a variety of outdoor activities. Many of these parks offer picnic areas, playgrounds, restrooms, volleyball and basketball courts, horseshoes, fishing, Frisbee golf courses and much more!

We’re only an ’hour to the tower’. Gillette is only an hour from Devils Tower National Monument! Enjoy the nation’s first national monument. See a real-life Prairie dog town, take a walk along any of the 7.4 miles of paths or simply tour the park from your car. Plenty of parking, a bookstore, and tons of educational opportunities.

An array of activities await Pathfinders and staff of all ages in the nearby Gillette community. Swim, play soccer and basketball, visit area museums or take in the art venues Gillette offers. Activities are held daily, unless otherwise noted.

Area 59

Area 59 is a Maker Center equipped with robotic arms, laser engravers, 3D printers, a workshop, metal shop and much, much more.

The adult staff members that accompany teens+ will work on the drone honor.


Daily Schedule

Who May Attend:
Teens+ only with a BTP wristband, accompanied by an adult staff member with a wristband.

Costs: There will be a $10 registration fee per person.

Hours of Operation:

  • Tuesday 1:00pm and 2:30pm
  • Wednesday – Friday 9:30am, 11:00am, 1:00pm and 2:30pm.

Hands on Pottery

Hands on PotteryHands on Pottery is an amazing creative arts studio in historic downtown.  Owner, Michelle Thara has prepared an amazing keepsake for Pathfinders to paint and take home.

Daily Schedule

Who May Attend:
Open to all ages with a BTP wristband, accompanied by an adult staff member with a wristband.

Costs: $5 per person

Class Schedule:

Tuesday:  12:30pm, 2:00pm, & 3:30pm

Wednesday – Friday:  9:30am, 11:00am, 1:00pm and 2:30pm

100 Prepaid, Pre-registered per class

Master Guide Workshop

Master Guide Training Workshop

We will offer the 8 Master guide Workshops that are required for the 2024 NAD version of the Master Guide Curriculum, in addition on Sabbath we will offer two supplemental sessions.  Workshops will be offered once in English.

Master Guide classes will be taught at Gillete College from Tuesday – Friday in room 131.

Sabbath classes will take place at the Wyoming Center at Cam-plex on the Camporee grounds.

Pathfinder Basic Staff Training Certification Workshop

Pathfinder Basic Staff Training Workshop

The Pathfinder Basic Staff Training Certification is the foundational training
for Pathfinder Staff and TLT’s. It is also a critical pre-requisite for Master Guide
Investiture. We are offering all eight workshops at the camporee for those who
have been unable to attend training at their local conference and especially for
those needing to complete the training, or a portion of it to complete their Master
Guide requirements and be invested on Sabbath at the camporee.

Attend all or just the ones you have not taken yet.

Pathfinder Basic Staff Traing classes will be taught at Gillete College from Wednesday – Friday in room 131.

Off-Site Medical Release Information

It is required for those participating in any of the off-site activities, the counselor/chaperone/adult supervisor will have the appropriate medical release information for each Pathfinder they are responsible for with them at each off-site activity.
